After selling a thousand units of his $24.95 Magic Tricks CD-ROM in the lead-up to Christmas 2001, Roy Oron was, to say the least... excited!

And more convinced than ever about the power of the Internet to reach a mass market.

"You see, the CD is great... very professional", Roy told eProfitNews. "But commercially it was a failure... UNTIL it went online and was promoted by a guy with a huge mailing list. We were offering some Christmas clipart as a free bonus and he just mentioned that to his list."

Whoosh! The orders flooded in...

This experience helped to fuel Roy's interest in identifying super affiliates, those businesses that get huge amounts of traffic.

Since its release less than a year ago, it has generated around $400,000 in revenue. Affiliates were paid out of that, of course.

"So what are you working on now, Roy?"

"My goal is to develop software to help webmasters to increase their sales."

At 35, Roy is an ideas man. And he's assembled a talented team to help him achieve his goals... several programmers, a graphic artist, a copy writer. He bubbles with enthusiasm and an infectious laugh as he tells his story and talks about his colleagues.

"I was looking for a way to market my typing program by linking to the high-traffic sites. Finding them through the search engines was a methodical process. But it was also very labor-intensive. So I asked my programmer friend if we could automate it."

Two weeks later, the beta version of Affiliate Finder was ready.

"He's brilliant... a genius... one of Israel's very best", adds Roy with his characteristic excitement. Then followed nearly a year of testing and improving the code. The commercial release was early in 2003. Since then it was renamed LinkCapture.

"I believe in truth on the Internet", explains Roy. "But also in generosity." He pauses to translate something his uncle told him in Hebrew. In English, the thought runs like this...

"When your hand is closed, nothing is going out from your hand... but nothing is going INTO your hand either. But when your hand is open, ... (you get the idea!)."
