young man did. Here's the success story
behind Profit Puppy.
How long does success take on the Internet?
For the 29 year old webmaster at ProfitPuppy.com,
it took ... astonishingly! ... only three
months before he was generating over $8000
a month. And he's never earned that little
again.
"Doing what?" is the question
eProfitNews naturally asked him.
"Basically I own a number of websites
on various topics. These sites make money
by promoting affiliate programs." ProfitPuppy.com
is where he tells his story and shares the
basic principles he is using so successfully.
"Whenever someone visits my sites, I
will talk about various products that are
available for sale on the net. If someone
actually buys one of the products, then I
get a commission for the product sold."
It all began in March 2002 when he wanted
to write an ebook on a medical topic. "I
didn't know anything about internet marketing
at that time" says Rob, who prefers not
to give out his surname.
Then the learning curve really kicked in
and, in his words, "I didn't end up writing
the ebook because I was spending too much
time building websites".
So Rob, what did it cost you to get started?
"My costs for web hosting are about
$17 per month. Also I use some software to
design the websites … which cost around
$300. Internet access with cable modem costs
me $35 per month."
"There were no other costs. I started
from the bedroom in my parents' house."
"I had no idea whether it would be successful
or not."
"I also had no idea how to design websites."
Amazingly, Rob says "I still have very
little idea". So now he hires web designers.

"After the first 3 months, I was making
over $8340 per month in commissions."
His marketing program is simple. Rob uses
pay per click search engines, and tries to
get free search engine listings in Google.
And at his site, he explains the basics of
how he uses these tools to generate targeted
traffic.
Rob, is there anything you would have
done differently?
"Don't think so" said Rob, adding...
"If I had the knowledge I have now,
I could have done it faster!"
That made me wonder… if he'd known what??
So I asked. And Rob sent this reply from his
home in Sydney:
"Well ... the main thing that can make
it even faster is that once you have the knowledge
of how
to get top 10 Google positions and how
to get cheap clicks on the pay per clicks,
then you can do everything faster. It takes
a while to get all of that knowledge."
"One of the best places to learn is
from forums such as WebmasterWorld.com
and ABestWeb.com."
"One example of what I do now to speed
up things is that I don't write or design
the websites myself ... I get other people
to do them for me. I go onto Elance.com
and get web designers to bid on the project.
Then they design the site for me. Recently
I commissioned a site that is 6 pages of information
and research on a certain topic. That would
have taken me 2-3 days to do. Instead I hired
someone on Elance who did the whole thing
for $150. Not bad, and saved me a lot of time."
"There is one site that I got designed
for about $200 that is now making me over
$1000 in profits per month."
Because of his online income, Rob is able
to travel the world. "I'm going to live
in Brazil for 6 months."
