What does "2 tier" actually mean?

The first tier is you. You get paid commission on all the sales you generate. Those who join the program through you become your second tier, and you also get paid a commission on all the sales which they generate. It's a way for the company to say "thank you" to you for introducing other affiliates.

In the list below, the first percentage is what you'll be paid for sales you generate, and the second figure is what you'll be paid for sales generated by people on your second tier.
